The short version

  • Sign in with a link sent to your email, then add a card to start the seven-day trial. Nothing is charged until it ends.
  • Add your website and Mole Marketer creates the property, prepares Analytics and starts drafting your business profile.
  • Finish setup in Analytics so the property is Active and the weekly pitches start.

A property is one business in Mole Marketer: its context, its pitches and briefs, and its Funnel Analytics. It is also what you pay for: $99 a month for each active property, however many people on your team use it. For Northfield Roasters that is one property, northfieldroasters.com, and the whole team works inside it.

Sign in with your email

Go to the sign-in page and enter your email. There is no password: Mole Marketer sends you a secure sign-in link. If you are new, the card says it plainly: New here? We create your account when we send your first link.

The Mole Marketer sign-in card: one email field and a Send sign-in link button, no password

Press Send sign-in link, then open the email and press Sign in to your account. The link works once and expires after 24 hours. On the Confirm sign in screen, check it is your address and press Sign in.

Start the trial

Before anything else, Mole Marketer asks for a card. Your trial lasts seven days, and nothing is charged until it ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.

The Start your free trial card: seven days free, then $99 a month per active property, with the card taken now and nothing charged until the trial ends

Press Add a card and start the trial and you go to our payment provider's checkout to add the card, then back into Mole Marketer. During the trial, one initiative run and one brief run are guaranteed, so you see the pipeline work on your own business before you pay.

Add your website

On the New property page there is one field: Website URL. Enter your site's full address, such as https://northfieldroasters.com, and press Create property.

The New property form with Northfield Roasters' website typed into the Website URL field

Mole Marketer names the property after your domain (you can rename it under Settings), connects your website as the first source of business context and prepares Funnel Analytics for that domain. You land on the Marketing page with the message that the property has been added as a draft. Its business profile is filling in now. The rest happens in the background: Mole Marketer reads your website, drafts your business summary, positioning and ideal customer, then scores which marketing channels fit you. When that is done, your first initiative pitches are drafted.

Only owners and admins of your organisation can create a property.

Finish setup in Analytics

A new property starts as a Draft. Its Settings page says Still being set up, and a draft is not billed. It stays a draft until Funnel Analytics has its steps: the pages a visitor passes through on the way to becoming a customer.

The Status section of a new property's Settings: Draft, Still being set up, and an Open analytics button

Press Open analytics, install the tracking tag on your site (Install the tracking tag on your site) and record your funnel's steps (Record the path customers take on your site). A draft property already records visits, so you can check the tag is working before you finish.

This step matters more than it looks. The weekly initiative pitches, the twice-weekly brief pitches and the weekly brief email only run for an Active property. The first pitches drafted at setup, and the first brief pitches for an initiative you accept, do not wait for it. The regular schedule does.

Check it is Active

Once setup is finished, your first property becomes Active. The Properties page shows it with Active and • Tracking, along with its visitors, conversion rate, initiatives and briefs, and links to its Settings, Context and AI Models and Allowance pages.

Northfield Roasters on the Properties page, marked Active and Tracking, with its visitors, conversion rate, initiatives and briefs

In Settings, the status reads Active and billed: $99 a month. Pause property stops recording new visits and takes its seat off your plan, and everything it recorded stays. Your plan never goes below one property, so while this is your only active property, the note there says your plan stays at its $99/mo one-property minimum. See Manage your plan, properties and billing.

What happens next

While Analytics is being set up, Mole Marketer is drafting your business profile from your website. Review it, correct it and connect more sources in Give Mole Marketer your business context. Then see Run a week of marketing with Mole Marketer for what arrives each week.

Frequently asked questions

Is it priced per user?

No. Billing counts active properties, not people. Invite your team and the price stays $99 a month for each active property.

What does guaranteed mean for the trial runs?

During the trial, the first initiative run and the first brief run for a property go ahead even if your monthly AI allowance would otherwise stop them. It is a promise that the runs happen, not about what they find.

Can I add a second property?

Yes. Press New property on the Properties page. When you finish its setup it becomes Ready rather than Active, and it is not billed until you press Activate property in its Settings, which adds $99 a month to your plan.
