About Mole Marketer
Why Mole Marketer exists, who is behind it, and what it does and does not do for teams that could do more marketing but have no process to make it stick.

The short version
- Most small businesses that work online have somebody who could be doing more marketing. What they lack is a process that keeps it going after the first month
- Mole Marketer is that process, already set up: a new initiative pitch every week and briefs twice a week, built from your own business and your team's answers
- Generic AI starts from a prompt and the average of the internet. Mole Marketer starts from your business context, your analytics and the people who know your customers
- Your team decides at every step. Mole Marketer briefs the work and hands it off. It does not post, publish or schedule anything
Why this exists
The first month of marketing is the easy one. There is a list of ideas, some enthusiasm and somebody with a few hours a week. Then the first ideas run out, the day job pulls that person back, and the marketing goes quiet. Nothing went wrong with the team. Nobody owned deciding what came next.
Mole Marketer started with my own small online business, where one person had marketing time every week and no steady queue of work worth doing. She did not need more advice. She needed to know what to try next, why it suited the business, and a brief specific enough to start on Monday.
Everybody has heard that AI should make this easier. Very few have been shown how to set up the process, or how to keep a team running it week after week. Mole Marketer is that process, set up for you. It is for owners of small businesses whose team could do more marketing, and for marketing departments stuck repeating the same few channels.
Method, not magic
Ask an AI tool for marketing ideas and you get a convincing list in seconds. The hard part comes next: which idea fits this business, what evidence supports it, what should be made, and what does the person closest to the customer know that a model cannot?
Mole Marketer keeps that chain of decisions visible:
- Research and scoring. 53 marketing channel playbooks, from podcast guesting to webinars to local partnerships, scored against your business on five dimensions. Every pitch says why it fits
- Citations beside claims. Facts in a brief trace back to your own connected sources
- Numbers checked. Unsupported numeric claims are removed before a draft is delivered
- Your edits stay yours. A later suggestion arrives as an explicit accept or discard, never a silent overwrite
- Run history. The models, context gaps and outcomes behind each piece of work are there to inspect
That is the anti-slop promise. More of the average is what AI slop is. Mole Marketer does not pretend a model knows your customers better than you do, and it does not pretend a brief is finished work.
The three inputs
Business context.
It is important to build off your business, your opinions and your past work. Connect your website, YouTube, Notion, Google Drive and the other supported sources, and they are indexed so every pitch and brief can search them by meaning and cite them. For Google Drive, you choose the individual files to share.
Analytics.
Funnel Analytics is built in. Every initiative gets its own UTM tags, so you can see what each one brought in, and what happened feeds the next round of pitches. There is more on that in knowing which marketing worked.
Humans in the loop.
The best marketing comes from people. Every brief carries questions tied to a point in its outline: your opinion where the field disagrees, a customer story, a number you will stand behind. Your answers are what make the piece specific to your business rather than to the average reader.
What it does, and what it does not
What arrives:
- A new initiative pitch every week by email: a marketing channel or project worth trying, researched and scored against your business. Accept it or decline it
- Brief pitches twice a week inside each live initiative, each with a purpose, an outline, must-include facts, citations and questions only your team can answer
- From a ready brief, a first draft with a featured image for your team to edit and finish, or an adaptation of the brief for another channel
- A handoff to whoever does the work, by Markdown copy, ChatGPT, Claude, MCP or email to your own domain
What it does not do: Mole Marketer does not publish, schedule or post anything, buy media or send campaigns. It does not make finished work, and it is not an agency. Somebody on your team still needs time each week to answer questions, review and do the work. The pipeline removes the blank page. It does not remove the work.
Growth is the only plan. It is $99 per month per property, introductory, and not priced per user. The seven-day trial starts at checkout with a card, and nothing is charged until it ends. One initiative run and one brief run are guaranteed during the trial.
Who is behind it
Mole Marketer is made by Oli, its founder. The mole is there because the work is digging: research beneath the surface, and coming back up with something worth trying.
The goal is straightforward. Agency-quality thinking, without an agency retainer, that a small team can inspect, challenge and keep using week after week.
